Construction Tutor Required

Circa £25,000 Pro-rata – dependent upon qualifications and experience

Based in Dunstable, part-time 3 days per week, term time only. Flexible working arrangements available.

We are currently recruiting a construction tutor to work with our Study Programme learners at our Dunstable centre to deliver a City and Guilds Level 1 Multi-Skills qualification.  Carpentry skills would be beneficial.

We are seeking either a qualified tutor with up to date skills in Multi Skills (Landscape, Carpentry and Painting), or we are willing to offer a comprehensive teacher training pathway for an experienced professional from the construction industry.

Currently the working pattern is 3 days per week, with the potential to increase, we are looking for a permanent member of staff, job-share will also be considered.

Learning Support Assistant with potential driving responsibilities

Part time (4 days per week), term time only – Possible leading into full time for the right candidate

Primary area of study – Horticulture  

Salary: Circa £16 – 19k pro rata dependent upon responsibilities

Based: Dunstable

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant who would welcome the opportunity to work at our Dunstable centre, supporting our 16-18 year old learners, ideally with knowledge of or a background in horticulture or landscaping.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the classroom tutor
  • Working with small groups and 1:1 support
  • Supporting literacy and numeracy
  • Help manage pupil behaviour
  • Help pupils to access the curriculum
  • Support the co-ordination of work experience for students
  • Be able to use a PC effectively and have good knowledge with using Microsoft e.g. word

There is the possibility of driving responsibilities as part of this role, if this is required a typical day would consist of picking learners up from Milton Keynes in our 15 seater minibus and transporting them to the Dunstable centre, performing Learning Support Assistant duties at our farm with our Horticulture learners and then transporting learners back to Milton Keynes at the end of the day.

Applicants that are qualified or have previous experience in a school/ education setting or have experience of driving a minibus would be preferred however, we are willing to support the right candidate.

Due to the nature of the position you must hold a full UK driving license.
