Jig Landscapes have worked with Develop for over 5 years supporting students on work experience placements.
Director Ian Rawlings says, “Work experience is a fantastic way to encourage youngsters into the industry particularly with the current shortage in construction. Our student from the Academy of Central Bedfordshire is a great example of a committed student and the apprenticeship we have now offered him is well deserved. He really has been and is part of the team. We look forward to supporting more students through Develop in the future”.
The student said of his work experience, “I have really enjoyed my work experience and it has very much helped me decide on my future career. I have had a good insight into real work and undertaking 1 day a week over a longer period of time has allowed me to develop a diverse range of skills with all the different jobs we have completed. It couldn’t have been any better and I am looking forward to starting my apprenticeship with Jig Landscapes in July 2019”.
