Want to improve your confidence and gain a qualification in English, Maths or ICT to help you get onto courses or into employment? Or would you like to catch up on study you may have missed at school, to help you with your day–to-day tasks? One of our Functional Skills courses could well be the best way forward for you.
These qualifications will help you to improve your literacy, numeracy or ICT skills. The particular focus of each course is on problem solving and being able to apply your skills effectively in real-world situations.
If you are still at school you need to be aged between 14-16 years.
If you have left school, you must be aged between 16-18 to start a Study Programme.
Entry Level and Level 1: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Level 2: Completion of Level 1 English, Maths or ICT and ability to provide evidence of this.
Course start dates are flexible.
Entry Level, Level 1 & Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT Assessment is ‘on demand’ throughout the year, by submitting your work digitally, for review on screen or submitting it for review in printed form.
This course is delivered over one full year – usually alongside other qualifications.
