Develop encourages parents and carers to support and be fully involved in the educational journey of our learners. This support really does make a difference and can be crucial when enabling young people to achieve their full potential.

We have an open door policy at Develop and our staff and tutors are always happy to discuss your childs progression and how you can best support them.

We have had some amazing feedback from parents of our learners with regard to the approach we take and the support we give them:

“I must say I feel as a parent that your organisation is excellent. You support the learners and are willing and able to adjust things if needed. I find you and your staff very approachable which really does help. The service you provide is a very much needed one that really does seem to have the interests of the learners as a priority.”

“I cannot express my appreciation of what you did for our son last year. Not only did you discover that he had dyslexia and dyspraxia, but you helped him to achieve his Functional skills level 2. He is now at Shuttleworth College and is at last doing the course he wanted to do. Thank you again.”

How can you support?

Parents and carers are invaluable sources of volunteers and contacts. If you feel you, or your company, could help our young people by: offering work experience placements; giving informative talks or presentations; sparing an hour of your time to support in the classroom – or suggesting any other support you feel would be useful, we would be delighted to hear from you.
